Do you ever say yes before you've even checked in with yourself? If you're the one who gives, and gives, and then feels guilty the moment you think about saying no, this episode is for you.
As the holidays draw near, the calendar fills and old family roles creep back in. In this episode of The Thread Back, I'm exploring how to say no without guilt: what a boundary really is, why guilt so often follows when we begin caring for ourselves, and how to set holiday boundaries with family and friends from a place of love rather than resentment.
I'll guide you through a simple practice I call The Pause Before the Yes, a gentle mindfulness and breath moment to check in with your body before you answer. I'll also share a few soft, honest phrases you can actually use this season.
You can love your people and still need a breath away from them. Both can be true.
